The new government begins its first working day today. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will start the day by paying tribute to the heroic martyrs of the Liberation War.
On Wednesday, 18 February, the Prime Minister along with members of his cabinet will lay wreaths at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar. They will also pay respects at the graves of former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
Daily Schedule of the Prime Minister
The Prime Minister is scheduled to leave his residence in Gulshan at 10:00 AM for Savar. Upon arrival at the National Martyrs’ Memorial, he will pay homage to the heroes of the Liberation War. Tight security arrangements have been made at the site in anticipation of the Prime Minister’s visit.
At 1:00 PM, he will arrive at the Secretariat for lunch and prayers. Later, at 3:00 PM, he will attend a cabinet meeting as part of his official schedule.
As part of the day’s activities, the Prime Minister will participate in a briefing session with secretaries at 4:00 PM. The Prime Minister’s Office has instructed the relevant departments to make all necessary preparations to ensure smooth execution of the day’s programs.
